What a legend .. I love Di’s no-nonsense approach to work and life.

Saying yes to opportunities and being adaptable were the key take-outs for me.

Also drawing on the “let them” approach is a good reminder. 🙂

So many great lessons in Di’s words of wisdom. In addition to the 45 second rule, here were a few other favorite take aways:

• Dealing with Imposter syndrome – address fear through action
• Improve by 2% each week – work towards your goal
• Believe in you – confidence will get you so far, but need to believe in yourself first ie: remove self-doubt

What an inspiring event! Thank you to Di Mantel and the Women at BEN committee for such a powerful and insightful session on Tuesday.

Di’s message about stepping outside our comfort zones to build leadership capability really resonated with me. Something I will be implementing in my day-to-day life is the 45 second rule – loved this advice!

I am feeling motivated to embrace new challenges and contribute to a more inclusive world for women both at BEN and beyond.

It was inspirational listening to Di talk about her journey & is definitely someone to look up to.

I loved her authenticity and vulnerability opening up about her life and challenges she has faced in her path through leadership.

Di has a practical approach to work and issues that is refreshing and helps build strong relationships between stakeholders.

Resolving complex situations was easier when working direct with Di

Thanks

I’ve had the pleasure of working both alongside and with Di since the opening of the new Royal Adelaide Hospital.

Di is collaborative, open and honest- she displays thoughtful and effective leadership of both her teams but just as importantly, those adjacent, outwards and upwards.

No ego, no games, just focused on positive outcomes for patients, the community and the environment.

Di, thank you for putting so much thought and energy into everything you do. Since we first met in your current role, I have been fortunate to learn about your career and personal journeys, so inter-twined as they always are. There have been some amazing achievements with your passion for the industry, care for colleagues and the community you engage with, and commitment to continual growth that really stand out.

The Commonwealth Bank has been delighted for you to become involved with our Women in Focus events where you have provided rich content and a warm embrace to everyone. You have deep experience,, insight, and a capacity to share, which is most valued and appreciated.

As your journey continues to evolve, I wish you well.

I have had the pleasure of working with Di over the last 7 years in her capacity as CEO for Celsus and during this time she has proven to be a highly effective leader. Furthermore she is a caring individual, without ego, who displays empathy and routinely seeks out opportunities to improve the lives of those less fortunate. Equally, Di is a strong advocate of ESG and continues to take a leadership position in this sector.

Di is an excellent communicator with high integrity. She is extremely knowledgeable in the provision of Healthcare, Facilities Management and PPP initiatives and very generous with her time to impart this knowledge to those who are willing to learn.

Highly recommend.

Di is an inspirational leader who has a unique ability to lead a team to achieve exceptional outcomes. Her innovative approach to solving problems and negotiation skills enabled our team under her leadership to achieve a significant and bespoke multi billion dollar arrangement for the hospital. While at time stressors were heightened Di maintained a cool calm approach to achieve a mutual outcome.

Her professionalism and caring nature ensured that all involved were valued and shared in the team success. Di is an advocate for all groups and doesn’t hesitate to give her wholehearted support to important causes both professionally and personally.

Di had been an absolute pleasure to work with over the past few years. She has an eye to the strategic possibilities of healthcare and sustainability along with a deep passion and care for ensuring the everyday things that matter are taken care of for the benefit of patients and the broader community. She is experienced in complex stakeholder management and always champions robust governance.

She is also an excellent speaker and presenter especially in the areas of healthcare, ESG, innovative financing models and leadership. I look forward to our paths continuing to cross in the future.

Di has been my client for a number of years and has been a pleasure to work with. We were fortunate enough to be selected as a Green and Social Loan Coordinator for the most refinancing, and accordingly, I have seen first-hand Di’s relentless focus on sustainability and the resulting achievements. Under Di’s guidance, Celsus was the first organisation in Australia to achieve both Green and Social Loan status and did the first healthcare sustainability loan globally (amongst many other accolades). Di has demonstrated that you don’t need huge ESG budgets to make meaningful differences when it comes to sustainability – just a strong passion, hard work and some innovative thinking. She has shown a strong commitment to building environmental sustainability, social responsibility, and effective corporate governance in all aspects of her business and it has been inspirational to witness. I have been inspired by Di and am looking to implement Jersey Day at my organisation after seeing the great leadership Di has shown in promoting this great cause in South Australia. I hope to one day be able to get Di to talk on the topic of sustainability at an ING event so that others can witness and be inspired by her commitment to the cause.
